Backyard Smore's

Yes, it felt like camping! We sat in the our backyard and roasted marshmallows and had smores. Yummy! A little messy for the kids but we all had fun. Presley like to just eat plain marshmallows but I think Ethan liked every part of it. If not Pat and I sure did.

Our Garden

Well we are doing a small garden again for the second year. Ethan was very eager to be helping dad out. It was like 97 degree this day. Very hot. We still have some more to plant. So far we have basil, oregano, chives, rosemary, tomatoes, squash, pumpkin planted. I will blog more on this as our garden grows! Hopefully we have a successful year!

Running through the Sprinkler

Everyday that we have had a hot day Ethan has asked to run through the sprinker.
What is it with kids and water? They really enjoy the Mount Tiki Sprinker!!!

Playing at the School

We have had some really nice days lately here are some pics we took of the kids at the elementary school at the bottom of our hill. We took their bikes down so they could practice since our street isn't the best for riding a bike.

So Cute!

I thought this was so cute. Pat had given the kids fruit snacks and they disappeared. We I found them they were in the big chair in Ethan's room with their feet kicked up looking out the window enjoying their snacks. I hope that they are always this close and have this much fun together.

Professional Photos

On Saturday we went to Salt Water State Park for a photo shoot. My friend Jenny has started her own photography business a couple of months ago and we scheduled a photo sessions with her. She did an amazing job. We love all the pictures of the Ethan & Presley. It is going to be so hard to pick out the pictures that we want! It was a really overcast morning and we were very lucky, as soon as we were done and back in our cars it started to rain.
If you check out her blog you can check out a few of our photos.
Thanks Jenny!!!

First Trip to the Dentist

They both had their first trip to the dentist. I was a worried that they would have cavities, but YEAH we walked away with none! They both had their teeth cleaned, and Ethan had x-ray's done. They both were champs and can't wait to go back to the dentist. Yes, dorky me took pictures (you know it has to be in their scrapbooks!!!)

Ethan Swim Lessons

Ethan has been taking swim lessons at the "Y". He is doing really well. He is very observant of what the other kids are doing. He enjoys blowing bubbles, making airplanes and even going all the way underwater!!! Sorry the pics are a bit dark. I was having trouble trying to find the right setting for the camera.

We are hoping to get Presley in on the next sessions the classes fill up really fast. But she is enjoying playing in the childcare area, and doesn't seem to mind that brother isn't there with her.

Aspiring to be the next Picasso!

Ethan & Presley's new favorite pastime is painting and water coloring! As you can tell every time they paint they have it all over themselves, all over their clothes, the table and pretty much everywhere. But they really enjoy it. And at least it keeps them occupied while I try to get dinner started.

Another Party!

Presley had one more small b-day party with her best friends. It was a fun afternoon. The kids I think are going to sleep all afternoon from all the running around they did. Here are some cute pics from the afternoon.

Preschool

Well this week we enrolled Ethan in Preschool. After checking out several I believe that we have found the perfect one. He is really looking forward to going to school next year. He will go two days a week Monday and Friday. I am sad but also looking forward in this new adventure for him. He will do two years of Preschool due to his late b-day.

Presley's Family Birthday

Yesterday we had Presley's family birthday party. Wow there was so much excitement!
The cousins all had so much fun chasing each other around, playing toys and doing the pinata. We had a Tinker Bell party (we think Presley resembles Tink!) What do you think?

Happy 2nd Birthday Presley!

I can't believe that my little girl turned two yesterday. Time flies.
Yesterday Pat took the day off and we headed off to the Point Defiance Zoo. It was a beautiful day. We were super lucky the zoo was debuting Baby otters for the first time and we were right there when they brought them out. They were born on February 3rd. They were super cute.
Later that night we headed up to the Rain forest Cafe for dinner. That seems to be our birthday ritual! The kids were exhausted by the time we came home. It was a really fun day, and we are looking forward in celebrating this weekend with family.
